After initial introductions, I typically observe a feed, assist with positioning and latching, and log a pre and post feed weight to know how much milk your baby is getting. I conduct an oral function assessment. Lastly, I address pumping if relevant to your situation. After the visit, you will receive a thorough care plan, resources for success, and I provide ongoing email and phone support. All from the comfort of your home! Feeding concerns I help with:
I am currently in-network with Aetna, Cigna and United. If I am considered out of your plan's network, I will provide a superbill to reimburse you for services rendered. See more about insurance coverage here. The out of pocket self-pay rate for initial home visit is $275. Lactation visits are legally required to be covered by insurance companies regardless of the in-network status of the practitioner. This was declared by Federal law (the Affordable Care Act/ACA), and by the State of NJ (see also the NJ Breastfeeding Strategic Plan). |
